Gisela Abrams is the Senior Vice President, Global Partnerships at Licensing International – the premier trade association for the global licensing industry – headquartered in NYC and with offices and representation around the world. In her role, Abrams is responsible for broadening Licensing International footprint, services and offerings to the global membership, including fostering the growth and expansion of licensing around the world.
Abrams joined Licensing International in 2018, after 15 years at Sesame Workshop, most recently serving as Vice President, International Media Business, Asia Pacific where she oversaw the Sesame Street brand and its strategic development in the Asia Pacific region. She was also responsible for managing the business, content distribution and marketing in diverse territories. Prior to joining Sesame Workshop, Abrams worked at the Jim Henson Company, broadening its international licensing business, with a focus on Europe. Before starting her career in licensing, Abrams was a Strategic Planner with focus on qualitative research and creative strategy at NYVC advertising agency Mad Dogs and Englishmen. She earned a Bachelor degree in International Trade and Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Abrams lives in New York with her husband and their two children.
